Wayne,
Was just going through my vacation pictures and just wanted to say thanks so much again for a great bike rental, it was one of my best vacations ever. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to out-do this vacation next year. For starters, I think I am going to have to come back and rent another cycle.
Anyway, thanks again for a great ride and great memories.
Dave Lewis Chicago, Illinois Lumpy Comments: 1,800 miles with no windshield on a loud Dyna Wide Glide, now that's a true bike ride! I used to run like that, but lost some hair along the way... Thanks Dave, see ya' next year! |

My cousin and I recently rented motorcycles through L2 Motorcycle Rentals, Inc. I cannot speak highly enough for the service and quality of the cycles we received from Wayne (Lumpy) Ordakowski.
Tim & Ed Miga Warwick, Rhode Island Let the "Lump" take the BUMP out of your ride. Lumpy Comments: Hey...I think I'm gonna' trademark that phrase! Ed & Tim, thanks for looking us up, we're glad you enjoyed the Fatboy and Dyna. |

Lumpy and Natt -
Just wanted to drop you a note from the "Big AK" and thank you again for an outstanding week of riding in your beautiful state. I didn't think that I would manage to get "outside" to the Lower 48 this summer at all. When my work called and said they wanted to send me to Fort Collins for a three day conference I jumped at the opportunity. Knowing that this would be my only chance to be in America this summer, I immediately extended the trip to eight days and started looking for a bike to ride. When I found your site and read everything, I had a good feeling about renting from you. Once I talked with you on the phone, all suspicions were confirmed - L2 is the way to go for renting a scoot in Colorado. I really appreciate how friendly and accommodating you all are.
The '99 Road King Classic was a great bike all week long. It never missed a beat running through those mountains. In addition, after meeting you and knowing how you care for your bikes, I wasn't worried at all about any mechanical problems. Clear sailing!
Thanks again for not only the rental, but also the rides from and to the airport. They really helped. I've been telling everyone about you and look forward to either renting from, or riding with you, the next time I'm in Colorado.
Sincerely, GOOBER Vice President, Wayward Boys MC Wasilla, Alaska
PS - My brother, Duker, also appreciated me having the Road King while we rode during the week. It was the maiden voyage of his new Pat Kennedy custom, and there isn't a lot of room to haul things on a rigid frame chopper. Lumpy Comments: Goober, thanks for bringing the scooter back clean! How bout' next year we trade a rental for some ice fishing in Alaska? |

Greetings Lumpy!
While he certainly
wanted a bike of his own for his birthday, it was a lot cheaper (not even
counting the alimony payments I'd be stuck with if I had bought him a bike) to
rent a couple of your Sportsters for the day and spend the day together. I
suspect you were a little surprised to find that we had put about 300 miles on
those bikes in the 24 hours we had them, but what a great time we had! The
1200 Sportster I had matched well with the 883 that he rode and was just the
right size for a young driver with limited road experience. We joined a
group of about 10 bikes for the ride to Estes Park and kept up with the big boys
just fine. Your machines ran without any problems and it was reassuring to
know that you were only a phone call away if we did have problems.
Thanks again for
helping us create a memorable birthday! We are looking forward to some
other excuse to rent from you again, but suspect we'll just pick a weekend to
see the fall colors together. I'm sure he'll want to come with me!! Lumpy Comments: Hey Doc, thanks for looking us up! Creating a lasting memory is what we're all about, thanks again. |

Dear Wayne a.k.a. (Lumpy) and Wife,
I just got back to Kansas City and what am I thinking when the humidity is 102% and the heat index is 110 F. My experience with riding the bike last week in Estes Park and other various locations will not soon be forgotten. Your customer service skills are excellent and your bikes are in better condition than new. Are you sure that was a 99 Road King Classic? Drove more like a new bike to me.
It has been nearly 20 years since I had ridden a motorcycle and in that respect I only drove rice burners in the 80's, never a Harley. It had something to do about AMF nearly destroying Harley and that really bugged me back then. But this is today and I cannot begin to describe the feeling of riding through the mountains of Colorado.... It beats driving a vehicle...even a 1999 Chevy Suburban any day!
My wife could not understand why I would want to rent a Harley and was being a little apprehensive about me renting a bike. But here's the trick guys....$$$$$$ I assured her she could take the Suburban shopping while I was on the bike! Of course I gave her a few bucks to spend also heh heh... If you are wondering what my kids thought.... my (5) year old was thrilled to death to ride with dad on the bike and his (10) year old sister also.
The no hassle and not dealing with a dealer in a showroom environment for renting this bike was the best. The only problem I had was forgetting to give you back the key? (yeah right! some of you are thinking as you are reading this testimonial)......but you caught me anyway Lumpy so I guess I will have to come back next year to get the key back from you if not sooner? Help a 17 year career firefighter find a job out where you live and I'll be renting back sooner, trust me!
Thanks Again! Ted Lenexa, Kansas Lumpy Comments: Ted! I know your kidding about the UNINSURED (under 21) kids riding with you! :) Glad you and your family had a great time! Ya'll come back now! |

Boring Middle Aged
Executive to Motorcycle Outlaw in 30 minutes.
You out there - sack your therapist and buy a ticket now on Trans Love Airlines directly to Denver and pick up your bike from L2 Motorcycle Rentals and head for the hills. It's cheaper and better! Waiting for you at arrivals is a very cute redhead who spirits you off in a yellow VW beetle to get the bike. Papers take no time, the bike is almost brand new and immaculate, They lend you whatever you want, jacket, helmet, maps, suggested trips for no extra charge - these people are seriously nice - and before you know it there you are with your feet perched on the forward pegs heading west on Interstate 70. Colorado has been designed with one thing in mind - motorcycling. The roads swoop and turn through mountain gorges, across desert, through old mining towns, up to 12,000 ft mountain tops. There is only one bike for this place, the Harley Davidson. It may be slow, heavy and brake badly compared with modern sports bikes, but clunk an Electra Glide into top gear at 2500 revs and hear that sound from the exhausts as the huge mill grunts you up to Independence Pass and you know that this is the only machine to be on.
So what does this motorcycle outlaw do? Beat up innocent towns? Ride into the sunset with a stacked blonde? Nope he locks his hog on top of America's highest paved road (Mt. Evans) and loses his keys! Finally, much abashed, he phones Wayne from L2 Motorcycles expecting a lot of abuse but hears only gurgles of laughter and the assurance that he would be right over with spare keys. What?! Denver is 2 and a half hours away! But sure enough the night shakes, headlights pierce the dark and two gleaming Harleys thunder up to the bar where I have been waiting. It's Wayne - 6 ft 3, built like Hercules and his buddy Dick - 6ft, built like Kate Moss. " I'm so sorry", I whimper, "Hey no problem, we were at a wedding, this is a great reason to get out on the bikes."!!! Five minute later I am on the back of Wayne's bike (Lumpy cutting in here...Don't be getting any funny ideas! I sure wasn't gonna' walk up that damn mountain!) thundering up the mountain with Dick close behind - this is very different from my normal life in Geneva. 20 minutes later I am cruising down the mountain on the Glide with the other two bikes burbling in front. The lights of Denver, miles away, are spread out below, the air is clear and crisp. I switch on the radio - yes the bike has a radio - and Pink Floyd floods out of the speakers! Yep, this was a moment. The next 2 days were unforgettable. The people in Colorado are courteous and kind. Wayne and his wife are the best. The bikes are cheap to rent. The scenery and the weather are unbeatable. I love Harleys!
Get over there now! Neil Calder, Geneva, Switzerland |
Lumpy, And when I returned the Sportster the next day, you kindly let me sample one of the larger Harley's so I would understand the Harley mystique. Even though I remain a sport bike fan (just bought the 2001 Honda VFR 800i), I can also say I am a Harley fan.
Thank you again for providing such great service and for being a wonderful person. I wish you good fortune with L2 and I will surely send all of my friends your way. I plan to head back to Colorado with my girlfriend and rent the large bike with the stereo and cup holders!
Larry
Karpen Lumpy comments: This dude went over Trail Ridge Road with shorts & sandals on and no windshield! Larry, you're one tough cookie! |

The anticipation of the trip started weeks before our vacation. Just knowing we would experience a "Harley" ride through the Rockies made time fly. The Electraglide Classic we had rented from "L2 Motorcycle Rentals" would provide a more awesome time than we had imagined. We dialed in a favorite radio station and prepared for the scenic miles we would cruise. The sites, the sounds and the scents were all available for our enjoyment. Never had we enjoyed a more full-effect ride through the mountains! We had such a great time-we're planning our next Colorado trip!
Thanks to Wayne (Lumpy) at L2 our vacation-on a scale from 1 to 10-was an Eleven!

And before the shops...
I'm, not one to write testimonials but in this case I've just gotta make an exception. I went to Denver from Boston recently for a three-day Memorial Day weekend to visit an old Navy shipmate. It was way too far to ride my Sportster, given the time/distance factor - to say nothing about the best interests of my butt muscles. But how could I resent the notion of cruising helmet-less (legally) through an echo filled canyon pass. I decided to rent a scoot out there. I immediately found L2 Motorcycle Rentals on Yahoo and noticed that their rates were lower than the others. Hmmmmm. I decided to fill out the reservation form and see what transpired. Not only did I get a return E-Mail, but a phone call almost immediately! The person calling was Wayne "Lumpy" Ordakowski of L2 and he told me that he had a 2001 FLHT Electraglide Standard available. So, I figured "If I'm gonna' go swimming, might as well get my hair wet" - I confirmed the rental with him and was I glad I did!
When I arrived at Denver International to start my brief stay, Lumpy was there to collect me and drive me to the garage.... Notice, kind reader, that I didn't say "shop" or "showroom". It was a garage. THEIR garage, attached to their home in a beautiful suburban setting. There was no flashy showroom with putrid coffee and plastic plants. It was a home. A nice welcoming home. Comfortable surrounds and not a lot of overhead. Perfect.
Copiloted by his fetching wife Natt, who has earned her wings for real and flies with Frontier Airlines, Lumpy steers the business from his high tech office - a myriad of cyberostulant contuberations. Okay, it's an Ethernet PC - but this again speaks of his low overhead. Nice bikes at a low rate, and a million dollar insurance rider to boot. They have seven Harleys squatting 'at the ready'. Ranging from Sportster 1200's to a cherry Road King and you need sunglasses when you to look at them. I'm talking SHINY. Lumpy is the owner, president, head wrencher and reservations manager. I'm talking Extreme Personalized Service. They set me straight with maps, gloves (which I had overlooked but they had not) and a nice scooter tour of the greater Denver area (They rode the Road King, while I was saddled up on the FLHT).
I don't know when I can get the time to go to Sturgis again, but it's suddenly a lot closer to Boston now that "my" scoot is hitched to a post at L2 Motorcycle Rentals in Denver. Anyone that passes up on this deal is missing a great experience! My e-mail is mauiwowi@mediaone.net (Boston) and I will gladly respond to any and all inquiries. We who live to ride thunder often refer to ourselves as Brothers and Sisters. Lumpy and his wife Natt are not just my "Brother" and "Sister", they're my newest FRIENDS.
Ron "Zaz" Pitts Ridden hard - Put up wet. Weymouth, MA Lumpy Comments: Zaz! You're alright Brother! Thanks for the "T" shirts from Boston! |
