Dear Lumpy,

Last month I thought I was renting a motorcycle from L2.  In reality, I purchased an experience of a lifetime.

Experiencing over 1500 miles of places I've never been before on one of your Harley Road King's was one of the most profound experiences of my life.  It was pure, simple and basic.  The bike & me, the ever-changing road and landscape, blue open sky, wind and "rumble".

I re-discovered who I am at the core.  I also stretched and grew and re-defined the person I want to be.  The person who returned home after 1500 miles was not the same person who left.  A new sense of self-confidence had emerged.  A renewed hunger to see and do more.  I am bigger than I was 1500 miles ago.  I want to seek out bigger challenges and achieve larger goals.

The love of freedom a young boy felt on his bicycle, I have re-discovered as a man on his Harley.  53 years haven't changed that desire for freedom.  The anticipation of seeing and experiencing new places on two wheels is the same.  There is magic in it.  Boy and Bicycle.  Man and Machine.  We are one in the same.

Thank you for making the experience possible.

Most Sincerely,

John Watson

Lumpy,

My wife and I rented the Bonnie and the Sporty 883 back on Memorial Day weekend in May.  We just wanted you to know that the experience was SO positive that we ran out and bought our own Bonnie and Sporty the very next week!  We love our bikes and we are grateful that you gave us the chance to test them out before committing the cash.

With regard to the Bonnie: I just had the guys at Erico Motorsports in downtown Denver apply their proprietary "super-mod" to the Triumph, with dramatic effects.  They swapped out the stock mufflers with long Triumph silencers, opened up the airbox, tweaked up the carbs (they won't tell me the exact recipe), and completely removed the air injection system.  Besides the much more dramatic sound effects (my wife likens it to the growling of a Rottweiler), the power output has been improved by a whopping 20%.  While the cost of the mod was kind of steep (~$800), the net return in enhanced power and deepened exhaust note was worth the expense, in my humble opinion. You might want to call the guys at Erico and see if they will cut you a discount for a mod of your rental bike.  Just a suggestion...

Dear Wayne (Lumpy),

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful experience.  Riding the Road King around the Colorado mountains was the highlight of our trip.  Working with you and your staff was a pleasure; you could not have been any nicer to Pam and me.  Hope you like the attached pictures.

For anyone thinking of touring Colorado, seeing it by motorcycle is the only way to go and the folks at L2 are simply terrific.

Lumpy,

After picking up the Road King in Denver I had one hell of a trip to Taos.  Mountain passes, desert scenery, turning aspen, clear mountain streams and the beautiful Rio Grand Gorge outside of Taos.  Countless perfect backdrops for a photo of me on the Harley.  Problem is, I forgot to take a photo until I was on my way back to Denver on the interstate with much of the scenery behind me.  So.....while "hydrating" behind the Wendy's in Raton, New Mexico, I had the guy taking out the trash snap the attached photo back by the trash dumpster....  Thanks for the excellent service.  Renting the Harley was painless and hassle free.  I'll contact you next summer for a repeat performance.  Just remind me to take a few decent photos.

Thanks for staying open. We had a really great time, hopefully we will do it again sometime!

Hey Lumpy,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for an incredibly great experience.  I can't tell you how much fun (over the air anyway) I had during my three-day 1,000+ mile rental.  The bike was better than I could have ever imagined (Heritage Springer).  The only bad part about the bike was having to answer so many questions from people along the way and being stopped so that people could check it out!  The customer service throughout the whole process should be packaged and sent out to other businesses who seem to have forgotten exactly what that means.  We spent three incredible days touring the northern Colorado Rockies and seeing things that I had only dreamed about for years.

The most unexpected part of my experience with L2 was the way that Lumpy treated the rest of my family.  Since I was the paying customer I expected to be treated pretty well, but Lumpy went out of his way to talk with my kids and my wife.  Not only did he give them time he also was cool enough to pass along a couple of gifts to each of the kids.  This was unexpected and greatly appreciated.  My kids now think that Lumpy is about as cool as it gets!  If I am ever out your way again, you can bet I'll be calling about that purple Springer!

Wanted to express our thanks for the wonderful time my wife and I had riding the Colorado mountains on the Electra-Glide Classic we rented from you.  The entire experience, including the service and attention to detail that you provided was very memorable.  My wife and I rode through Denver, Buena Vista, Canyon City, over the Royal Gorge, Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and back around the perimeter of Pikes Peak National Forrest on our two day trip. This was some of the prettiest country we've every seen.  Being from Chicago, everything we normally ride is flat and boring.  Not Colorado!

We hope we can come your way again in the near future. If we do, we'll rent a bike for a full week and try to see the whole damn state!  Thanks for assisting with the experience.

Lumpy Comments:  Juan, Colorado really does have it all, huh?  See ya' soon!

Lumpy,

As I blasted away from your "L2" office with that speed greedy yellow Sportster, I knew I'll have FUN for the next two weeks!  Right, 3000 miles and five States later I still was looking for more asphalt... but sadly I had to catch my plane back to Switzerland.

Thank you, for having such high quality motorcycles and for providing a great outstanding service. Here some pic's from my journey.

Hope I see you again,

Dani

Switzerland

Lumpy Comments:  OK, OK.  You read it above...3,000 miles!  On a Sportster with no windshield!  Ya' know, I must be gettin' soft.  I just can't do that anymore!  See ya' next time Dani!

Hi Lumpy,

Hope these get to you ok, thanks for your part in a truly memorable holiday.

Mike Shepherd

Ireland

Lumpy Comments:  Mike!  It was 95 degrees when you left Colorado.  Look at that snow in Yellowstone!  Thanks for the pic's!

Hope Lumpy, everything is OK by you in Denver, Colorado. We see everyday in TV the terrible fire in Mountains.  I know its not good for your business with bikes, but most important is, that nothing happens you and your family.  In case your house burn down, you are every-time welcome to come to Slovakia and stay with me.

Greet Natt from me, I hope everything will be good.

Marek

Slovakia

Lumpy Comments:  Stop right here and read this one again.  Marek rented a bike last year while working here in the States.  Someday, I'll make it to Slovakia to take him up on the offer.  Marek, you're a great man, thank-you.

Hi, Lumpy!

Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed that great Road King and the ride through the mountains over the Memorial Day weekend, and to give you another customer.  My husband, Wade, is going to leave this coming Sunday and ride to Colorado where my daughter is having a competitive softball tournament.   Our friend and his daughter are flying up with our daughter and once they get there, there will be quite a bit of free time.  Wade suggested to him that he go to the same place I went to and rent a Harley.  I gave him your card.  I'm not sure what their time frame is, but just wanted to let you know that they may be visiting you (providing they don't play the whole time and win the tournament).  At any rate, should he contact you, his name is Bruce Meadows and he is a seasoned rider.  I don't think you'll have any problems with him dumping it in your parking lot right off the bat.... (no pun intended).

Thanks again!

JoAnn Hardison

P.S. - It's hotternhell here in Houston!!!!

Lumpy Comments:  JoAnn, our customer that fell in front of you never did get back on his rental, but that's OK, we're sure he'll be back someday!  Thanks for the kind words and referral.  All the best!

Pictures from Preston Vogt's one day family adventure.

After renting those bikes from you, I had to go get my own.  Got an 02' Indian Scout, it's sweet.  Went to Sturgis 10 days later and had a blast!!

Lumpy Comments:  I thought they caught the "Texas Seven"?  Really now...Preston, we're glad you and the family had a great time.  You and your Father have my number when your ready to open a L2 in California!  Perfect business for a family of riders!  See ya' soon.  By the way, nice bike!

Lumpy & Company,

The weekend ride was fantastic.  The bike ran great and the scenery was spectacular.  I got a little cold in the mountains the first weekend in May but worth every minute.  It was a pleasure doing business with you and especially great that you were flexible with drop off and pick up times.  Here are a couple of pictures to let you know where the bike has been.  Thanks & hope we can do business again.

Rock

Lumpy Comments:  At least it didn't snow down here at only 5,300 feet!  All the best Rock, thanks for the pictures!
